I have a hard time wrapping my head around the slang and abbreviations used by many young people today. Maybe I’m old fashioned but Omg, Bae, & Bff are basically lost on me. In text messages? Sure, I get the need for abbreviation but I miss the days when people spoke in full words and full sentences. It’s like today’s youth invented a new code language designed to keep the rest of us oblivious to what they are talking about. They have their own code and no one can understand them. It’s actually brilliant when you think about it. Don’t even get me started on spelling and grammar. My personal peeves, using then where you should be using than, and rediculous vs the proper spelling, ridiculous. Not sure why it bothers me so much but it does. Maybe I should get a hobby, or, maybe I’m just old.
