It’s all around us. For me it’s the very core of what has been a 42 year career. I’m talking about music and we all have our favorites. Truthfully, my first love is Jazz & Blues but when you examine the evolution of Country Music it was born out a mix of so many different styles of music that it is an enigma in itself. No matter what style of Country Music you prefer there are artists in the genre that will deliver exactly what you are looking for and still fall under the Country umbrella. I’ve had so many discussions about what is and isn’t country that I’ve come to the conclusion that just because my preference isn’t yours, or vice versa, doesn’t mean they aren’t Country. Mostly I love how Country artists are able to make profound statements much like the new Garth Brooks song below that is highly identifiable with what’s going on in the world today. Country music means different things to different people and you know what? That’s okay. It’s a BIG umbrella and there’s room for all of us.
