My newsfeed has been flooded with pictures this week with beautiful, blooming flowers! I love my indoor plants, but I struggle outdoors. Removing a tiny piece of glass from my foot is more appealing to me than weeding. Seriously, it’s the worst! But maybe it’s time to reconsider and start to find a way to love my outdoor garden. Experts say it may be an easy way to shed the “Quarantine 15”
WebMD says you will burn a boatload of calories doing some yard work:
- Heavy yard work (landscaping, moving rocks, hauling dirt): 400-600 calories per hour
- Raking and bagging leaves: 350-450 calories per hour
- Gardening: pulling weeds, planting flowers, etc.: 200-400 calories per hour
- Mowing the lawn: 250-350 calories per hour
Regular yardwork could see you burning 80,000 calories a year, and you’ll have a beautiful yard on top of it! And if all that isn’t enough for you, I have the address of someone who has a little extra weeding for you………
