The province is reporting 25 new COVID-19 cases increasing Manitoba’s total to 1,043.
Of the new cases; 8 are in the Prairie Mountain Health region, 9 in Winnipeg, 7 in the South Health region and 1 in the Interlake region.
Health officials say there are currently 408 active cases, with eight people are in the hospital, including one in intensive care. The number of deaths related to the virus remains at 13, while 622 people have recovered.
Meanwhile, public health officials are advising of three potential exposures to COVID-19 that may have occurred, all in the Prairie Mountain Health region. The first was on August 18th and 19th at the GoodLife Fitness located at 1570 18th Street in Brandon from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m, both days. The second was on August 18th at the Coffee Culture Café and Eatery located at 510 1st Street in Brandon from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. The third exposure was on August 11th and between the 14th to 17th at the Foxtail Café at the intersection of Highway 10 and Victor Road in Wasagaming.
While the risk of transmission is considered low, information is being provided to help people assess their risk and seek testing should symptoms appear.
