Both the birth and marriage rates dropped again in Manitoba in 2019.
The Vital Statistics Agency reports there were 5,047 marriages and 17,200 births last year, a drop of about 300 for both.
As for baby names – Olivia topped the list for girls for the 4th straight year, followed by Emily and Ava – and for the boys, Liam was the most popular name going back to 2009, followed by Noah and Lucas.
