A large fire broke out at Pipestone Livestock Sales in the town last night.
Company Co-owner Chad Parks says firefighters from Melita and a volunteer crew from Pipestone doused the blaze, which caused extensive damage.
Parks says they managed to get all the animals out of the building – several cows were calving – and no-one was hurt.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is to begin today.
Pipestone is about an hour southwest of Brandon.
