Do you know who I dislike? Line cutters. People who think that the world revolves around them getting to check out first, order their food first, or just be first in line because they have a desperate need to say “First!”. I will never understand it. You’d think though it’d be harder to cut in line if you’re in your car. Line cutting takes on a new level of difficulty in the drive-thru line.
Here in Westman, we’ve got a variety of options when it comes to drive-thru’s, and every time I go to one, I never run into issues. It’s always been smooth sailing. Scrolling through TikTok yesterday, I found a video of someone trying to cut in a drive-thru line at a Whataburger in Texas. Well, unlike us Canadians that might shrug it off or quietly stew in our vehicles over our distaste for the line cutter, the Texans take a different route. People were so P.O’d that Whataburger sent an employee out to escort the vehicle out of the line! Yes! Line cutting with consequences! What’s more surprising is that the driver left without any kind of fight or issue. Considering the rest of the vehicles in line were honking and screaming for this person to go, I guess they opted for the easier option.
So remember, if you’re out getting ice cream at the Dairy Queen in the Corral Centre this weekend, and you choose to go through the drive-thru, don’t cut the line. We may not ask you to move as the Texans did, but I’m sure you’ll get a lot of nasty Canadian scowls directed at you, and honestly, that might be worse.
@laaaaureny1 As they should #whataburger
