I remember as a kid being worried about going to School on April Fools Day. It was a huge fear of mine that someone would play an April Fools prank on me making me look silly in front of my peers. I was constantly checking my back for a “kick me” sign and inspecting every seat before I sat down in case a well placed tack were lying in wait. None of this ever happened and as I grew older I learned to embrace the “fun” aspect of April Fools Day and took delight in the harmless fun of pranksters. Luckily I dodged a bullet in that I was never seriously pranked to the point of utter embarassment and I couldn’t bring myself to bring discomfort to someone else so we pretty much stuck to the fun harmless stuff.
