Brandon police say back on March 24th, they became aware of an ongoing situation in which a 29-year-old male had been harassing a victim at their home.
They say the investigation revealed that on two occasions between January 26th and February 9th, 2021 the suspect broke into the victim’s residence following the demise of their relationship. Police also learned the suspect had installed a surveillance camera outside of the victim’s residence.
On May 4th, the man was arrested. He’s been released to appear in court on May 20th, 2021 on charges of Break and Enter and Commit, and Criminal Harassment.

On May 4th, police conducted a traffic stop in the 3400 block of Victoria Avenue. A 47-year-old male passenger was found to be the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant for Theft Under $5000. He was arrested and released to appear in court on August 3, 2021.
and also on May 4th shortly before midnight, Brandon police observed a 16-year-old male pedestrian, known to be under a court ordered curfew. The youth was arrested and released to a parent. He will appear in court on July 7, 2021 on a charge of Fail to Comply with Undertaking.

On Wednesday, May 5th at around 4:30 am, Brandon police spotted a cyclist travelling through private properties. When police attempted to stop the man, he actively avoided them until he was stopped in the 1100 block of 18th street.
Police say he was under the influence of meth, and his behavior escalated to the point where he struck one officer while spitting on another. Neither officer required medical attention. Once he was arrested, the 20-year-old man was found in possession of a knife contrary to a prior Release Order.
He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Assault PO X 2, Fail to Comply with Release Order X 3 and Resist Arrest.
