Canada has some of the best wildlife in the world I think. We have Polar bears, grizzly bears, moose, wolves, beavers and the list keeps going. Sometimes, encounters with wildlife are closer than we would like them to be. Other times, it is amazing and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. No, I am not talking about seeing a cow run down 18th street and get chased by the cops, although hilarious. While not in Manitoba, firefighters and wildlife officers responded to a call from a home in Ontario. The call was for a moose stuck in the homeowners’ pool. Luckily the moose was rescued and unharmed.
Jesse Oshell, Deputy Fire Chief, Greater Sudbury, tweeted out:
Today a young moose become trapped inside a pool in the Garson area. Assisting the
team in pumping out the pool so their staff could safely transport the animal. Happy to help out our community and our wildlife,
is always ready for the call!
