It’s not uncommon to need an energy boost in the midst of our workday. Many times the first thing we reach for is something sugary or low quality carbs like potato chips, which will absolutely cause your energy level to shoot up, but then comes the imminent crash after a very short time. Experts have a list of suggestions for foods that will give you a longer boost. Things like bananas, fatty fish, apples, avacados, nuts and leafy greens are best to help get you through your day. Cookies and chips…not so much.
