Garden Centers are doing a booming business as the Spring planting season ramps up. As per my Mother’s advice, I never put my bedding plants out until after the May long weekend so next week I’ll be stocking up for my annual attempt at keeping flowers alive and well for the season. I’m really not a great gardener, but I try. I tend to stick to hardier varieties that are difficult for me to kill. My aunt once told me you could grow Marigolds under the bed so I plant those. Petunias seem to work well for me too as long as I remember to deadhead them regularly. As for my favorite – Double Impatiens. I generally baby these so much that they make it through the sumer thriving and looking beautiful. I do enjoy looking around my front yard at all the bright colors and watching the bees bounce from flower to flower. Check out the link below for a list of local garden centers and let’s get growing!
