At around 11:00 am Sunday (Aug 22), Brandon police were called to the scene of a multi-vehicle crash in the 200 block of 6th Street. Police say a vehicle struck several parked cars. The 18-year-old driver was arrested after officers say he provided two breath samples over twice the legal limit. A female passenger was transported to the Brandon Regional Health Centre with an injury to her arm. The suspect was released from custody once sober with a court date in November.

Brandon police also conducted a curfew check on a 48-year-old man over the weekend who was ordered by the courts to be at his residence during certain hours and discovered he was not home. Police say a warrant has been requested for his arrest.
