The brother of a Canadian hero is visiting Brandon this weekend.
Fred Fox will be at the Brandon University Healthy Living Centre on Saturday afternoon, May 6, from 12-3 p.m. Fred’s brother Terry ran an epic ‘Marathon of Hope’ effort in 1980 to run across Canada to raise money for cancer research.
On Saturday, Fred invites everyone to join him at the HLC to walk or jog around the track with him and to hear about the ongoing work of the Terry Fox Foundation to fight cancer.
An announcement will also be made with details about this fall’s Terry Fox Run in Brandon.
Donations to the Terry Fox Foundation will be accepted in lieu of drop-in fees to the walking track for this event. Please bring appropriate indoor footwear to walk or jog on the track.
