On June 12, 2023 at approximately 6:00 am, Brandon police responded with BFES to a residential fire in the 100 block of 8th Street N. There were no reported injuries, and the fire has been extinguished. Police suspect the fire may have been started intentionally and continue to investigate. On June 11, 2023 shortly before 4:00 am, police responded to a report of an assault at a residence. Investigation revealed that the 19-year-old male suspect allegedly assaulted an adult female before leaving the residence. The victim did not receive any injuries. The suspect was located and arrested on June 11, 2023 at approximately 9:30 pm. He was later released to appear in court on July 10, 2023 on a charge of Assault.

On June 11, 2023 at approximately 10:30 pm, Brandon police responded to a report of a disturbance in an apartment in the 1200 block of 1st Street N. Prior to police arrival, they say a male suspect had fled. Police say a 46-year-old man was under release conditions to abide by a curfew. He was located nearby and arrested. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order and outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Probation.

On June 12, 2023 shortly before 4:00 am, police responded to a report of a 15-year-old female causing a disturbance for her family at a business in the 1500 block of Highland Avenue. Police say they were unable to prevent her actions from escalating. She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service. She will be released once sober and receive a fine under the Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Control Act.

On June 11, 2023, police located and arrested a 38-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court. He was later released to appear in court on a later date.

He was also found in the company of an adult female with whom he was to have no communication, and he was in breach of his 24-hour curfew. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today with new charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order X2.
On June 12, 2023, at approximately 12:00 pm, police conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of 18th street. The 22-year-old female driver was found to be wanted on outstanding charges of Utter Threats. She was arrested and later released to appear in court on August 1, 2023.
