On Sunday, August 20, at 10:24 pm, members of BPS and BFES responded to a report of a fire involving a camper and business in the 800 block of Assiniboine Avenue. The structure was found to be an auto-body business which sustained damage to the west side of the building and the fire is believed to have originated from the camper. The Office of the Fire Commissioner has been tasked with determining the cause of the fire.

On Monday, August 21, at 01:08 am, members of BPS and BFES responded to a report of a fire at a residence in the 200 block of Rideau Street. The fire was believed to have originated from a bed of one of the residents. No injuries were sustained to any of the occupants. The Office of the Fire Commissioner has been tasked with determining the cause of the fire.

On the morning of August 20, Brandon police attended to the 2000 block of Brandon Avenue for a report of a suspicious male. A 25-year-old male was allegedly in possession of a large knife, and a check of police records revealed him to be bound by a court order which prohibits him from possessing weapons. The male has been released with conditions to appear in court 2023-10-30 for the charges of Possession of a Weapon and Breach of Probation.
