According to a Manitoba RCMP news release, “on August 22, 2023, officers from the Portage la Prairie RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS), conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on Fisher Avenue East, in Portage la Prairie. The driver refused to identify himself and was arrested.
A search of the driver and vehicle was conducted and officers located a large quantity of cash and approximately one kilogram of suspected methamphetamine and cocaine.
The driver was identified and was wanted on an outstanding warrant of arrest.
Bjarne Roussin, 44, has been charged with:
– Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x2
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
– Obstructing a Peace Officer
He remains in custody at this time.
