Today (Sept 1) marks the start of reduced speed limits in school zones in Manitoba including in Brandon.
From September to June, the maximum speed near schools is 30-kilometres-an-hour – and a ticket for going over could cost you around $200.
The lower speed limits are in effect Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
