Elections Manitoba says about 69,000 voters have already cast ballots at advance polls this year, and that’s because it’s easier. You can vote at any of the 300 polling stations in the province, not just the one nearest to your home.
In fact, more Manitobans voted on the first day of advance voting this year than in the 2019 election. Elections Manitoba says 32,000 people voted last Saturday compared to 22,000 – the highest single-day count from the last election.
Advance polls will be open until September 30 – General Election day is Tuesday, October 3rd.

NDP leader Wab Kinew, meantime, pledged to include allied health-care workers such as paramedics, physiotherapists, social workers, mental health workers and lab technologists in his plan to spend $500-million over 4 years to recruit more health-care workers in the province. There was no new announcement from the Liberals.
Meantime, the three main Manitoba political party leaders were to attend a breakfast debate this morning hosted by the Brandon Chamber of Commerce.
