On October 3, 2023, Brandon police conducted a pedestrian check in the 700 block of 10th Street. Police say a 35-year-old male was found to be in possession of a stolen TREK Mountain bike. Officers also discovered the suspect was wearing body armour contrary to the Manitoba Provincial Act. He was arrested and later released to appear in court on December 14, 2023, on charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Possession of Body Armour without a Valid Permit.

On October 2, 2023, shortly after 8:00 pm, police responded to a report of a male assaulting a female in the 300 block of 4th Street. A witness indicated they had observed the male grab the female and throw her to the ground several times. On October 3, 2023, Police located the 28-year-old male suspect. He was arrested and later released to appear in court on October 30, 2023, on a charge of Assault.

On September 30, 2023, at approximately 3:00 pm, Brandon police responded to the 100 block of 3rd Street for report of a disturbance. Police say a 37-year-old male was allegedly chasing two other males in the area with a firearm and threatening them. On October 3, 2023, a search warrant for the male suspect’s residence was obtained and police say they found .177 caliber and .22 caliber pellet guns. The male was arrested and later released to appear in court on December 11, 2023, on charges of Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Uttering Threats.

On October 3, 2023, shortly after 8:00 pm, police responded to report of an assault that had allegedly occurred in the 2100 block of Currie Boulevard. The male and female victims reported that they were approached by two males who proceeded to assault them both, unprovoked. Both sustained injuries. Two 19-year-old suspects were located and arrested. They were lodged at Brandon Police Service to be released once sober to appear in court on November 30, 2023, on charges of Assault and Assault Cause Bodily Harm.

On October 3, 2023, at approximately 6:30 pm, Brandon police responded to a report of an assault in the 300 block of Lorne Avenue. Police say two males, who were to have no contact with each other, reportedly had an altercation which escalated to physical assault. Two men, aged 31 and 23, were arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today on charges of Assault and Fail to comply with a Release Order.

On October 3, 2023, shortly after 7:00 pm, police responded to the 300 block of Dennis Street for a report of damage to property and theft of personal property. Police say two youths allegedly forced access to another youth’s bedroom in their residence damaging the door, and then proceeded to steal their personal property. Two 17-year-old female suspects were located and arrested. They were later released to appear in court on December 12, 2023, on charges of Mischief Under $5000 and Theft Under $5000.

On October 4, 2023, police located and arrested a 34-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court. He was lodged to appear in court today.
