Brandon’s Central Fire Station, which has been serving as an event venue, is still for sale.
Listing agent Zack Munn told the Brandon Sun this week they’ve had “six private showings since August, but there haven’t been any offers to date.”
The Firehall on Princess Avenue, built in 1911, is selling for $1.35-million, and Munn said the owners “still want to sell the business and the event venue as a sole entity.”
The Sun reported that regarding a potential price reduction, Munn said “There are no plans to reduce the price right now, and I haven’t had any discussions with the sellers that way. Certainly, as time passes, there’s always the possibility of price reductions. But for now, there are no plans to reduce the price.”
Munn also told the Brandon Sun, “the draw for this building is number one, the location, Brandon’s downtown, and the historic aspect of the building, being a heritage site. I think that’s going to be a big draw. The Central Fire Station’s architectural grandeur and its presence as a community landmark contribute to its allure.”
