On October 10, 2023, at 11:05 pm, Dauphin RCMP received a report of a 43-year-old male, from Dauphin, having entered the hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.
Officers attended and learned that the victim was walking in the area of 1st Street SW and 4th Avenue SW, at approximately 10:00pm, when he encountered three males on BMX bikes. The suspects spoke to the victim who was subsequently shot.
The victim then attended to the Dauphin Regional Health Centre a short time later for treatment for the non-life-threatening injury.
Dauphin RCMP are requesting area residents to review their home security footage in an effort to ascertain if the victim or suspects were captured on video.
