The official Manitoba election results were recently released, and Elections Manitoba reports that the New Democratic Party won with 34 seats. The Progressive Conservative Party earned 22 seats – and Manitoba Liberals won 1.
Brandon East:
• Glen Simard (NDP, elected): 3,766 votes
• Len Isleifson (PC, incumbent): 2,711 votes
• Trenton Zazalak (Liberal): 307 votes
• 29 declined ballots, six rejected ballots
• Turnout: 46% (In 2019 – turnout was 45.7%)
Brandon West
• Wayne Balcaen (PC, elected): 3,814 votes
• Quentin Robinson (NDP): 3,725 votes
• Bill Marsh (Green): 284 votes
• 39 declined ballots, 10 rejected ballots
• Turnout: 51% (51.27% in 2019)
Spruce Woods
• Grant Jackson (PC, elected): 4,986 votes
• Melissa Ghidoni (NDP): 1,936 votes
• Michelle Budiwski (Liberal): 1,145 votes
• 41 declined ballots, 22 rejected ballots
• Turnout: 56% (In 2019 – turnout was 56.75%)
Elections Manitoba says the overall turnout for the province was 55%, with 488,979 total ballots cast.
