On October 24, 2023, shortly before 7:00 pm, Brandon police located and arrested a 20-year-old male in the 100 block of 2nd Street. Police say he was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Conditional Sentencing Order. He was found to be breaching several court orders upon his arrest and was in possession of meth and a weapon. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today with new charges of Possess Weapon, Possess Meth, Fail to Comply with Probation X2 and Fail to Comply with Conditional Sentencing Order X4.

On October 24, 2023, shortly before 8:00 pm, police responded to a report of a vehicle colliding with a light standard at 26th Street and Brandon Avenue. Police say the driver showed signs of impairment and was arrested. A 41-year-old male provided samples of his breath that were reportedly over the legal limit. He was later released to appear in court on November 2, 2023, on charges of Driving While Ability impaired, and Driving with More Than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood.

On October 24, 2023, at approximately 11:00 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male around the 1500 block of Stickney Avenue. Police say a 41-year-old male was in no condition to care for himself, and there was nobody to turn him over to. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On October 24, 2023, Brandon police received a report of the theft of a vehicle parked at a business in the 800 block of Assiniboine Avenue. Suspects stole the vehicle within the previous 4-5 days. The vehicle is described as a grey 2014 Honda Accord, 4-door, with Manitoba license KWZ 646. On October 24, 2023, police received a report of a theft of two laptop computers from Crocus Plains Regional Secondary School on 1st Street. One laptop was believed to have been stolen on October 22, while the second was stolen on the 24th. Investigation led police to arrest a 14-year-old male. He was later released to appear in court on December 4, 2023. Both laptops were recovered.
