Environment Canada has extended its Snowfall Warning
The weather office says total snowfall amounts of 10 to 20 cm are expected for portions of southern Manitoba on Wednesday. The City of Brandon could receive between 5 and 10 cm.
A Montana low pressure system will begin to spread accumulating snow to southwestern Manitoba Wednesday morning before spreading to the Red River Valley in the afternoon and ending overnight.
Areas closest to the American border will see the highest amounts with 24 hour total snowfall accumulations close to 20 cm.
This same area is expected to receive another snowfall event beginning Thursday evening.
This early snowfall is a reminder that winter is just around the corner, and residents are encouraged to prepare for winter driving conditions and falling temperatures.
