On October 31, 2023, at approximately 11:00 pm, Brandon police responded to a report of a male holding what appeared to be a handgun at a business in the 1800 block of Brandon Avenue. The suspect fled, but police located and arrested him nearby in the 1100 block of 18th Street. Police say a 31-year-old male suspect had a replica toy firearm in his possession upon his arrest. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and was later released once sober to appear in court on December 28, 2023, on charges of Possess Weapon and Carry Concealed Weapon.

On November 1, 2023, shortly before 3:00 am, police came across a stolen vehicle, which was parked and unoccupied in the 500 block of Princess Avenue E. The vehicle, a 2011 white Chev Cruz, was stolen out of Shoal Lake MB.
