Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for Westman including the City of Brandon
A band of freezing rain is affecting portions of southeastern Saskatchewan and southwestern Manitoba this morning.
The area of freezing rain will move from west to east over the next few hours and may be expanded to cover more of southern Manitoba if necessary.
Conditions are expected to improve later today.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.
Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.
Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
