Brandon Police REMINDER – Do not leave your vehicle unattended with the keys inside. Thieves only need a few seconds to steal your vehicle. On December 6, 2023, police responded to a report of the theft of a 2013 grey GMC Terrain from the 300 block of Frederick St shortly before 9:00 am. The vehicle has Manitoba license plate KWR 424. On December 6, 2023, at approximately 6:30 pm, police responded to a report of a male at a residence in the 700 block of Braecrest Drive. Police say he was there contrary to his release conditions. Police also learned the male was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order X2. He was also allegedly in possession of bear mace. Police say when officers arrived at the residence to arrest him, the 30-year-old male fled on foot. When he was apprehended, police say he continued to resist officers and pulled an edged weapon. Once he was in police custody, officers located a small amount of meth that he attempted to discard. The male was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today. In addition to the charges from the previous arrest warrant, he will appear on charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order X4, Resist Arrest, Fail to Comply with Probation, Assault Peace Officer, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, and Possession of Meth.

On November 23, 2023, Brandon police received a report of the theft and damage to property belonging to an employee of a school in the 500 block of Park Street. Investigation revealed that a 13-year-old female student allegedly stole a cell phone and financial cards from the employee before intentionally breaking the phone. The student also allegedly wrote on the employee’s jacket with permanent marker. On December 6, 2023, the student attended to Brandon Police Service with a care provider where she was arrested and later released to appear in court on February 27, 2024, on charges of Theft Under $5000 and Mischief to Property Under $5000.

On December 6, 2023, police located and arrested a 22-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to comply with Probation. She was lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today.
On December 7, 2023, shortly before 1:00 am, police responded to a report of an individual who had worn out their welcome at a business in the 000 block of 10th Street. When police arrived, they learned that the 22-year-old female was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court. She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.
