An annual fundraiser for Brandon’s Samaritan House food bank takes place this weekend.
19 teams are participating in the 10th ‘Coldest Night of the Year’ (CNOY) walk Saturday evening with goal of raising $20,000 dollars.
It’ll begin at 5:00 pm at Knox United Church with 2 and 5-kilometre walks. Doors will open at 4:00 pm.
Samaritan House Executive Director Barb McNish says they provided close to 36,000 hampers last year – with over 1,000 new families accessing the food bank.
