-The Brandon Wheat Kings begin the playoffs this Friday against the Warriors in Moose Jaw. Games 2 and 3 will be played in Brandon April 3 and 4th.
-The AAA U18 Wheat Kings lead the Winnipeg Wild 2-games-to-none in the league championship series after a 4-1 win on Sunday. Game 3 of the best of 5 final goes tomorrow night at J&G Homes Arena. The Manitoba AAA U18 Female Hockey League champions are the Winnipeg Ice. They swept the Westman Wildcats in three straight games to earn the title.
-The Winnipeg Jets lost 3-0 to the Washington Capitals on Sunday. The Jets will try and snap a three-game losing streak when they host the Oilers on Tuesday.
-and Canada captured the gold medal at the world women’s curling championship after beating Switzerland 7-5 n Sunday. It’s Rachel Homan’s first world title since 2017. The world men’s curling championship begins Saturday in Switzerland. Brad Gushue will skip the Canadian team.
