-The AAA U18 Brandon Wheat Kings can claim the league title with a win over the Winnipeg Wild tonight at J&G Homes Arena. Brandon leads the best of five series 2-0.
-The Winnipeg Jets will try and snap a three-game losing streak tonight when they host the Edmonton Oilers.
-Randy Neufeld, Dean Moxham, Peter Nicholls and Dale Michie are Provincial Senior Men’s curling champions for a record 5th time. The La Salle foursome defeated Dave Boehmer of Petersfield 7-2 in six ends Monday afternoon at the Heather Curling Club in Winnipeg. They won the provincial seniors in 2015 and 2016 and again in 2018 and 2019. The Canadian Senior Men’s Championship will be played in Moncton in December.
-and in Major League Baseball spring training on Monday – the Pittsburgh Pirates edged the Toronto Blue Jays 4-3. The Jays open the regular season Thursday with a three-game series in Tampa Bay against the Rays. Toronto’s home opener is April 8th against the Seattle Mariners.
