-The Winnipeg Jets host the Seattle Kraken tonight – the Jets’ second-last game of the regular season. Winnipeg, on a six-game winning streak, sits in second place in the NHL Central Division with 106 points. The Jets need just one point in their final two games to clinch home ice advantage when they meet the Colorado Avalanche in the opening round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
-The Winkler Flyers have advanced to the Manitoba Junior Hockey League Championship Final after knocking off the Virden Oil Capitals 2-1 in quadruple overtime last night. The Flyers won the series 4-games-to-2. In the other semi-final – the Steinbach Pistons beat OCN Blizzard 4-1 to force a deciding Game 7 Wednesday night.
-and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the New York Yankees 3-1 on Monday. The 3-game series continues today.
