On April 16th at 08:18 am, Brandon police received a report of a male passed out in a building doorway in the 100 block of 4th Street. A 31-year-old male was arrested. Police say he was found to have an outstanding warrant for break and enter and failing to attend court. He was held for court on April 17th, 2024.
Breach of Undertaking
On April 16th at 10:22 am, staff from an organization in the 700 block of Princess Avenue called to report a client showed up intoxicated, and was carrying a lighter he was not supposed to have in his possession. A 28-year-old male was arrested and charged for breaching his undertaking for having an incendiary device. He was later released for court on June 10th, 2024.
Resist Arrest
On April 16th at 11:28 am, police received a call of a suspicious male in the 300 block of 3rd Street. He was reportedly peering in windows and going through yards. Officers located a 21-year-old male by a school, and when officers attempted to arrest him for allegedly refusing to leave the area, he fled. After a brief foot pursuit, the suspect was apprehended. The male faces a charges of resisting arrest. He was later released for court on June 27th, 2024.
Possession for the Purposes of trafficking Cocaine
On April 16th at 3:11 pm, Brandon police were conducting a walkthrough of a business in the 100 block of 5th Street. Police say a male was noted to have a crack pipe on his person, and a 24-year-old male was arrested. A further search allegedly located 3 ounces of cocaine, a digital scale, and $250 cash. He was arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine. He was held for curt on April 17th, 2024.
Impaired Driver
On April 17th at 03:27 am, officers came across a vehicle up on the curb in the 3400 block of Victoria Avenue. They say the operator showed signs of impairment. A 24-year-old male was arrested, and later provided samples of his breath just over the legal limit. The accused was later released for court on April 22nd, 2024.
