-The Winnipeg Jets beat the Seattle Kraken 4-3 Tuesday night to clinch second place in the Central Division, and secure home-ice advantage in their first-round playoff series with the Colorado Avalanche. It was also Winnipeg’s 7th win in-a-row. The Jets play their final regular season game Thursday night at home against the Vancouver Canucks.
-The Brandon AAA U18 Wheat Kings begin their quest for the Telus Cup on Monday, April 22nd in Sydney, Nova Scotia. They play their first game at 1:00 pm Central Time. The medal round is scheduled for next Saturday and Sunday April 27th and 28th. The Wheat Kings beat the Saskatoon Blazers to capture the Western Regional Championship last week.
-The Winkler Flyers will find out tonight who’ll they’ll meet in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League Championship final. The defending Turnbull Cup champion Steinbach Pistons host the OCN Blizzard in Game 7 of their semi-final series.
-and the Blue Jays can sweep their series with the Yankees today – Toronto won 5-4 yesterday.
