I’ve been reminiscing about the classic rock legends Foreigner with special guests-The Headpins that will be playing tonight at Brandon’s Westoba Place. I remember playing their music at various Rock Radio stations across Canada, and listening to both these bands as a teenager. Brandon’s Westoba Place is the eighth stop on the band’s 64-city historic Farewell Tour. My Husband and I and our childhood besties bought front row seats, we will be those fans, , dancing and singing to every song, and “high 5-ing each other”!
Music is memorable and magical all at the same time, it brings back a plethora of memories! My Husband and I used to slow dance to “I Want to Know What Love is” . In fact that song is such an iconic power ballad, it’s ranked at number 11 of the 50 best power ballads of all time! That track is also notable for being the U.S born band’s lone number one hit when it was released in 1984! I was 21 and My Hubby and I had just got engaged, I was working here at the mighty Q country 91-5, then it was know as 880 CKLQ on the am dial! “Cold as Ice, “Juke Box Hero”, Foreigner’s hit music list is endless! I know you will be rocking out with me and the 5,101 in the arena bowl, and an additional 1,00 om the arena floor. You know I will be sharing all my favorite concert memories with you tomorrow on “The New Q Mornings with Tim and Shelly”. I can’t wait to rock out to Foreigner and The Headpins tonight!
Cheers,
Shelly and Tim
