I love this project…Brandon University is hoping to double it’s honey production this year, as it’s “Bee-U” Urban Bee Keeping Project has been growing, now at year 3! Last year, it produced 500 pounds of honey. BTW, you can purchase that honey at The Brandon University Bookstore. I know where I am headed after work today! This year, the number of hives have also been increased to 4 on the roof of the Student Union Building, and there’s also a “back-up hive” with a a Queen in case of emergency! Shop local and support this fantastic endeavor at Brandon University’s Bookstore!
Tim and I were sharing that we noticed all the bees buzzing around the apple trees in our city. There’s truly nothing like watching nature at work. Tim’s wife Kathy was admiring the bees busy at work on their apple tree in their front yard. I was walking Sir Amos yesterday, and watched in awe, the busy bees working on our apple trees on the walking path. It’s a miraculous wonder to watch and listen while these busy bees do their most important work for our world. We just love Spring!
Cheers and Happy Thursday!,
Shelly and Tim
