Brandon’s Walmart at the Corral Centre sustained damage to the front entrance from an overnight fire.
Brandon police say two Adirondack chairs at the front entrance had been set on fire, and the fire spread to the building. Police were called to the store at around 12:30 am Friday.
The Brandon Fire Department quickly extinguished the blaze, but there was smoke and water damage inside, and the store is closed today.
Police say the situation remains under investigation.
