I am covered from head to toe with giant mosquito bites! Help! My family and I sat in our backyard Friday most of the afternoon and into the evening, big mistake! I have so many mosquito bites, I have lost count. Help is on the way via our Q Country 91.5 listeners. On The Fusion Credit Union Text line, this is the advice I received:
- Make a baking soda paste and cover those nasty bites with it.
- Apply cold Aloe Vera, you can store your bottle in the fridge, I didn’t know this?
- Honey, honey, honey, need I say more, pour it all over the bites, but what about the wasps lol!
- Use essential oil, like citrus or lavender, the bugs hate this smell, okay good!
- Lastly open a jar of the trusty “Vicks Vapour Rub”, leave it where you are sitting, camping, hanging out, you get it. Apparently mosquitos are not fond of the smell of Vicks Vapor Rub with that strong eucalyptus smell, they won’t come near your skin. Wish I could have known that 2 sleeps ago! Thanks Torrence, you rock with this tip!
Happy Monday, and we hope these homemade tips help your outdoor summer fun!
Cheers,
