Breach of Peace
On July 8th at 5:00PM police received a call from an establishment in the 700 block of 10th Street of an intoxicated 33-year-old male causing a disturbance. The male left prior to arrival but soon after turned up at Brandon Police Station. He reportedly swung on the metal gates of the parking lot and seemed confused. He was lodged for the night and will be released in the morning upon confirming his wellbeing.

On July 8th at 5:30PM police received a call of a man walking in the middle of the road in the 1600 block of Princess Avenue. Police say an intoxicated 37-year-old male had been stopped by Paladin Security and was confrontational. Lodged until sober and will be released in the morning.
Charges on Youth
On July 8th at 9:50PM, Paladin Security reported a panic alarm from the 1200 block of Rosser Avenue. The suspect fled on his bicycle upon police arrival. It was reported that a 12-year-old male youth allegedly tried to stab another male. The discarded knife was recovered in the 500 block of 12th Street and the youth was apprehended in the 500 block of 11th Street. He was released to a youth worker. Court date set for August 27th with charges of Uttering Threats, Assault with a Weapon, Possession of Weapon, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Resisting Arrest.
Possession of Meth & Dangerous Weapon
On July 8th at 9:30PM a witness reported seeing a male and female pushing each other around in the back lane of the 700 block of 10th Street. Police located the two matching the descriptions given in the area. Upon investigation the 46-year-old male was uncooperative and resisted arrest. Once in custody, officers say he was found to be in possession of a knife and approximately 2 oz. of methamphetamine. The male was lodged overnight for court in the morning with charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Resisting Arrest and Possession of Dangerous Weapon.
Motor Vehicle Collision
On July 9th just after midnight, 911 reported a motor vehicle collision at the 2000 block of Tracey Street. While driving, a 24-year-old female struck a parked vehicle and flipped her vehicle onto its roof. There were no significant injuries, and she was cleared by EMS on the scene. Impairment was not a factor.
