Beginning Monday, July 22, 18th Street will reduce to one lane in each direction at the intersection of Aberdeen Avenue and the Shoppers Mall south access. Motorists in the City of Brandon are strongly encouraged to find an alternate route.
Turning movement restrictions will be in place for the following:
🚫 No access in or out of the Shoppers Mall property at this intersection will be available. Access the Shoppers Mall by the traffic signal north of this intersection.
⬇️ Southbound traffic on 18th Street will only be able to move thru the intersection.
⬆️➡️ Northbound traffic on 18th Street will be able to turn right on Aberdeen or proceed straight thru the intersection.
➡️ Westbound traffic on Aberdeen Avenue will only be permitted to turn right.
🟡🔴 Traffic signals will be switched to flashing amber for 18th and flashing red for Aberdeen. This indicates that traffic on 18th Street will not stop and traffic on Aberdeen must stop before proceeding with the right turn.
◾️ Traffic on 18th Street will use two median crossovers for southbound traffic into and out of the northbound lanes through this site. Use caution when passing through the temporary crossover.
