Law enforcement officials in California say they have made an arrest in the death of actor Matthew Perry.
According to a report by NBC News, at least one person was arrested in southern California today stemming from the actor’s death in October of last year. Multiple people are facing charges.
Authorities have said his death was the result of the acute effects of ketamine. In May, Los Angeles police said they were investigating the source of the ketamine he’d consumed. Perry was taking the drug for depression and anxiety.
The coroner ruled his death an accident. Medical examiners said the levels of ketamine in his body at the time of his death was equivalent to the amount used in general anesthesia during surgery.
Perry was best known for playing Chandler Bing on the long-running sitcom “Friends”, which ran from 1994 to 2004. The actor was found face-down in his pool on October 28, 2023. He was 54 years old.
