UPDATE: RCMP are holding a press conference at 4:45 this afternoon to address homicides that occurred earlier today.
RCMP released a statement on the afternoon of Friday, August 16, indicating there would be a large police presence near the community of McCreary.
“There is currently a large police presence due to an ongoing investigation near the town of McCreary, Manitoba,” the RCMP said in a release. “Ste Rose du Lac RCMP, along with Major Crime Services and Forensic Identification Services, are on scene at this time.”
According to police, there is no threat to the public.
