Do you remember your school lunch? What was in your lunch kit or bag? Did you trade your lunch for better snacks? I had a Road Runner lunch kit, it was uber cool! My Mum made homeaid soups, with homeaid bread for a sandwich, usually salmon, and then of course-yummy baking! Well, I hated sugary treats, so I always traded my Mum’s tarts, pie, or cookies for a bag of chips, not real smart right? I thought my lunch wasn’t cool enough! Looking back, I had a homeaid lunch-that was beyond cool-it was simply the best lunch! My Mum was so mad at me when she learned that I was trading her home baked goodness for a bag of chips-I made my own lunches after that! Lol!
Parents and kids, how are you doing this first week back making lunches together? It’s a tough one! I remember making lunches for my two kids, I tried to do it after supper and pack them in the fridge for the next day, otherwise we were scrambling in the morning making last minute lunches. Good luck, be creative with it, have fun, or just “get er done!”
Cheers and Happy Friday,
Shelly and Tim
