The International Peace Garden will hold a 9/11 Memorial Event on Wednesday, September 11 at 11 am at the 9/11 Memorial Site. The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to arrive by 10:30 am and take seats by 10:45 am for the 11 am ceremony. Light refreshments will be available to the public after the event.
The 9/11 Memorial – International Peace Garden was established in 2002 through the work of the IPG board, the North Dakota and Manitoba governments and Rotary clubs in both countries. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the Atrium of the Conservatory
Speakers honoring the 23rd anniversary of 9/11 include Lisa Kudelka, IPG President; Program MC Tom Rafferty , Past President Minot Rotary Club; ND Rep. Fred Walker, ND Tourism; MB Rep David Pankratz, Provincial Military Envoy and former Fire Fighter/First Responder; as well as representatives from the Minot and Brandon Rotary Clubs, a performance by the Bottineau School Choir, and a flag party provided by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #3 Brandon.
