Dogs Rule!

I doubt this will come as a big shock to anyone who owns a dog but new research shows That 50% of dog owners consider their pet the main character of the family and treat them accordingly.  Their dogs are allowed on the sofa and beds, they’re showered with treats, premium food, birthday parties, and cute little articles of clothing.  I tried putting a hat on my dog once and got the stink eye for a week so we don’t do that anymore but I’m certainly guilty of all the rest.  Perhaps the most amusing aspect that came out in the survey is that, for over half of dog owners, when we are coming home after a stressful day we think of our dog before we think of our spouse or partner.  I can’t say this comes as a big surprise given that dogs are non-judgmental and are always happy to see you.
