Many of us feel the need, after the work day is done, to continue doing work-associated tasks thinking you are getting a jumpstart on the next day. Yu may be doing more harm than good by not leaving work at work and brining it into your R & R time. Your brain actually needs time to rest and recover and giving it that time after the work day will help you feel more focused and productive the next day. Ways to “shut off” include not doing any work related tasks, ignoring work notifications, and not overloading your evening with tiring tasks.
