Impaired Driver
On February 7, 2025, shortly after 11:00 pm, police conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of 17th street N with a vehicle that was being driven at a high rate of speed. The 20-year-old male driver was arrested for impaired driving and provided samples of his breath over the legal limit. He will appear in court on February 13, 2025 on charges of Operation While Impaired, Operation Exceeding 80mgs%, and Prohibited Driving.
Breach of the Peace
On February 7, 2025, at approximately 2:00 pm, police responded to a request to remove a 46-year-old female from a business in the 800 block of Lorne Ave after she became belligerent towards employees. When police arrived, her behavior had escalated. She was lodged at Brandon Police Service to prevent her behavior from continuing.
On February 7, 2025 shortly before 3:00 pm, police responded to a residence for a report of two adult sisters physically fighting. A 29-year-old female was determined to be the aggressor, and was lodged to prevent the situation from escalating.
IPDA
On February 8, 2025 at approximately 4:30 am, police responded to a report of a female screaming in the 100 block of 1st street. Officers located an intoxicated 20-year-old female. She was not dressed for the weather, was in no condition to care for herself, and had nowhere to go. She was lodged until sober.
Arrest Warrants
Over the past 24-hours, three adults were arrested in separate incidents on outstanding arrest warrants. One 41-year-old male was arrested for Breaching Parole and was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre.
