-New Court information is shedding light on that horrific child porn case involving children living in foster care in Brandon.
The Sun says that the Brandon man accused of creating child pornography with dependent children; is facing charges in court that allege he produced the material during the last 6-months; between Aug. 18, 2024 and Jan. 16, 2025.
7-extra charges are also alleged in that same time frame, including distributing child porn, touching children under the age of 16 for a sexual purpose and sexual assault.
-The Police Chief said they will likely add charges and will also determine whether more children have been impacted. The Brandon man will appear in court next week.

-A Public inquiry to examine a Winnipeg construction project is mired in controversy.
The inquiry will delve into the construction of the Winnipeg Police Service headquarters — a converted old Canada Post building. By 2016, it had run $79 million over budget; leading to a police probe AND charges being laid.
An RCMP investigation took 5- years, but in the end, The Crown decided to “not lay charges”, citing an unlikelihood of conviction.
