Breach of the Peace
In the last 24 hours Brandon Police Service (BPS) was called to three separate incidents resulting in four arrests for Breach of the Peace. (Three were highly intoxicated and one agitated and angry.) Each individual was arrested, held in BPS detention cells to prevent further issues, and will be released once sober and calmed down.
IPDA (Intoxicated Persons Detention Act)
In the last 24 hours BPS was called to four separate incidents resulting in four arrests for IPDA. Two incidents involved police being called to local businesses for disturbances, one involved a female wandering in traffic, and the fourth was noted by officers unable to care for herself. One individual was also served a Consuming Liquor in Public ticket. All four individuals will be released once sober.
Arrest Warrants
-On February 26th at 2:15PM Police conducted a persons check in the 400 block of 9th Street. The 31-year-old female was confirmed to have two endorsed Warrants for Arrest (One for Winnipeg Police Service and one for BPS.) She was arrested and later released on two Appearance Notices for court – Brandon on March 27th, 2025, and Winnipeg on May 6th, 2025.
-On February 26th at 2:40PM Police attended a residence in the 000 block of 21st Street North. A 31-year-old male was arrested on the strength of his unendorsed Warrant of Arrest (Failure to Attend Court.) He was held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on February 27th, 2025.
-On February 26th at 2:25PM a 35-year-old female turned herself in to BPS aware of a Warrant for her arrest. (Failure to Comply Probation.) She was released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of March 27th, 2025.
