City of Brandon Streets & Roads crews have begun pothole maintenance, with two crews addressing problem areas daily.
Some things to note:
-Crews are out patching potholes on City streets. However, the cold mix used at this time of year is a temporary solution.
–Hot asphalt mix is a more permanent solution – but is not available until approximately mid-May. The hot mix also requires drier conditions and warmer temperatures to be effective.
–Certain streets within Brandon are maintained by the Province of Manitoba. These streets include 18th St, 1st St, Victoria Ave and Richmond Ave. Potholes on Provincial roads can be reported to 1-866-626-4862
–Larger paving projects will be announced throughout the construction season.
